Altogether Now - a resounding success

We’re back - and with a new name in 2019!  

Our re-launch of regular, fun and informal evenings of entertainment got a resounding thumbs-up from our guests on 28 August!

Formerly known as ‘Al’s Place’, it was felt that the re-introduction of your social club should be given a new name, and we have come up with ‘Altogether Now!’  All in all, a fitting name we think!

More than fifty of us filled Spencer’s Wood Village Hall in August to enjoy a hearty fish & chip supper (thanks to Deep Blue in Whitley Wood), followed by a dazzling musical performance from our hugely talented friend and professional singer, Kitty Mazinskiy (aka Fiona).

Friends old and new came along and, after chatting together over supper, it wasn’t long before Kitty’s evocative songs got us up and dancing!

My thanks go to the charity’s Karen, Hayley, Jenny & Julie; Pamela, Elisabeth, Helen, Belinda & Sally from the Stronger Together Group for all their help, the wonderful Fiona; and finally, The Berkshire Community Foundation for supporting the charity with its funding of ‘Altogether Now!’.
