Could you be our next Support Worker?

We are looking for a Support Worker to mainly cover the west of Berkshire and to also support in other areas when needed.  

£24,000 per year

Full-time, Permanent

We are a charity that provides support to those living with young onset dementia in Berkshire, Surrey Heath, NE Hampshire and Farnham.  Services we provide are age-appropriate and meaningful workshops, 1:1 support, education courses and support groups. 

Young onset dementia affects adults under the age of 65.  Nationally there are estimated to be 70.800 people living with young onset dementia, with an estimated 900 in Surrey and 679 in Berkshire.

Within this role you will support us in the delivery of our services, with a focus on the provision of workshops and 1:1 support.  Examples of workshops delivered within the community are katakanuing, singing, walking, reader groups and art.  You will work as part of a team delivering our goal to "think differently about dementia".  We are looking for someone with initiative, an interest in dementia, who is reliable, creative, fun and caring.

Please note, applicants must have a full UK driving licence and have daily use of a roadworthy vehicle insured for business purposes, enabling you to travel within Berkshire and on occasion, Surrey and NE Hants.   We will also require an enhanced DBS check.
