We are delighted to announce that, by popular request, our evenings of entertainment and fun for younger people with dementia, your families and friends are set to return on 28 August!
Our regular social get-togethers are collectively known as Al’s Place and we hope to be organising an event every two or three months for a hearty supper followed by an evening of entertainment - a singer, a band, dancing, quizzing, comedy or something else, perhaps – and all for just over £5 per person! We aim to vary the location between East and West Berkshire in order to enable as many of you to come along as possible, and, as always, we welcome your ideas.
Details of our first event:
Wednesday 28 August, 6pm to 9pm:
Spencer’s Wood Village Hall, Basingstoke Road, Spencer’s Wood, Reading RG7 1AP (approximately half a mile from J11 of M4)
Food served at 6.30pm (vegetarian/special dietary alternatives available)
Musical entertainment from Kitty
Here’s what one of our guests had to say about Al’s Place:
“Al’s Place was an excellent place to get to know people in an informal setting. It was seven years ago that Graham and I first came along and I am still in contact, and am close friends, with many people we met there”
Various members and friends of the YPWD (Berkshire) team will be at each event and you will be greeted by friendly faces – it’s an informal occasion and a chance to ‘let your hair down’ and enjoy yourselves among friends & allies. The best bit is you’ll be likely to forge new friendships too!
Please buy your tickets by Monday 19 August by following the link below:
If you are experiencing any problems booking your tickets please call the YPWD (Berkshire) office on: 0118 207 2880 or Email firstname.lastname@example.org
We’re looking forward to seeing you there.
