WE ARE RECRUITING A COMMUNITY OUTREACH MANAGER

Are you looking for a role that really makes a difference to people’s lives?  Then look no further.  We are a ground-breaking charity providing support to those living with young onset dementia in Berkshire and Surrey.  We take time to understand what our clients want and need, and this role is no exception.  This is where you step in.

Within your role as Community Outreach Manager, you will help our charity in developing young onset dementia services, that are community led in partnership with the local Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities, ensuring that they are innovative, supportive, enabling and inclusive.  You will work with local faith/community leaders/relevant organisations to help us understand the key barriers and insights on why so few individuals from the BAME communities currently engage with dementia services.  Hence some evening and weekend work will be required. This is a new role with an opportunity for growth, innovation and to make this your own.  The role will be focused on Slough, East Berkshire, in the first instance and the role is envisaged to be for an 18-month period.

In return we offer a salary of £32,000 per annum, working 37.5 hours flexibly across the working week.

This is your opportunity to assist people in Thinking Differently About Dementia, can you afford to miss it?

To apply, please send an up-to-date CV and covering letter detailing why you are the right person for the role to caroline.blanchette@ypwd.info

Applicants from a diverse background are encouraged.
