We are recruiting a Support Worker

We are a charity that provides support to those living with young onset dementia in Surrey Heath, NE Hants, Farnborough and Berkshire. Services we provide are age-appropriate and meaningful workshops, 1:1 support, education courses and support groups. Young onset dementia affects adults under the age of 65. Nationally there are about 70,800 people with young onset dementia, with an estimated 900 in Surrey and 679 in Berkshire.


Due to expansion, we are looking to grow our team within our Surrey areas and have the following opportunities:


Support Worker, full-time (job share considered)


Salary £23,008.32 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)


Within this role you will support us in the delivery of our services, with a focus on the provision of workshops and 1:1 support. Examples of workshops delivered within the community are katakanuing, singing, walking, running, book groups and art. We are looking for someone with initiative, an interest in dementia, who are reliable, creative, fun and caring. If this sounds like you, we would like to hear from you.

Volunteers


We are also looking for volunteers to join us, be this to assist us in the delivery of workshops, as a driver to enable those with dementia to attend workshops, to assist at charity events or to raise the profile of the charity. If this would be of interest to you, please contact us.
