Ford Ride London/Essex 100 miles or 60 miles (2024)

The Ride

YPWD are excited to announce that we have secured 20 spaces for The Ford RideLondon-Essex 2024 in the 100 mile and 60 mile cycle, making this event achievable for cyclists of all abilities.

Participants have until Sunday the 26th of May to train and it promises to be one of the best cycling events yet, on traffic-free road through the most famous streets of London and picturesque villages and countryside of neighbouring Essex.

Alongside the fact that it is the only fully closed cycling event in Britain, the events are shown live on BBC, and has a remarkable finish at Tower Bridge.

By taking part in this event and raising funds for Younger People with Dementia, you will be helping us to continue to carry out vital work in our community, supporting people with a young onset dementia diagnosis and their families.

Ride Route

The 2024 events will take place from the city of London and through the countryside of Essex. The exact routes for the 60 mile and 100 mile events are yet to be announced.

FordRideLondon-Essex 100 

The 2023 route had a stunning start alongside the river Thames in central London, beginning at Victoria Embankment. The route then consisted of a beautiful loop through the picturesque Essex villages and countryside, back for a spectacular finish at Tower Bridge.

FordRideLondon-Essex 60

Like the 100 mile ride, the 2023 route started in central London on Victoria Embankment before coursing through historic Epping Forest to reach Essex. Riders then turned round and retraced their circle back to Southwark in London before finishing at the beautiful Tower Bridge.
